We fell in love with the area and bought the first house that we looked at.” And while Streicher is no stranger to beauty retail—she and sisters Ashley (a celebrity hair stylist) and Kristie, (the go-to brow expert for the likes of Adele, Gwyneth Paltrow and Mila Kunis) own Striiike salon in Beverly Hills, aka Hollywood’s go-to one-stop shop for red carpet prep—opening a business was not top of mind when making the move. “It was only once I had been here for a few months that I realized there really was nowhere in the area to get good makeup,” she says. “I started thinking, wouldn’t it be cute if I could just have a little boutique to sell all of my favorite things?” When a space became available next to Streicher’s favorite gourmet cheese shop on the buzzy stretch of street dubbed Scotts Corner in Pound Ridge, Streicher took it as a sign.

I envisioned a darkness.”  Fresh off a press tour for A Quiet Place Part II with Blunt, Streicher is currently in the store five days a week, and although she’s not offering services yet, she’s inevitably found herself assuming the mantle of Scout’s resident celebrity makeup artist. “People come in and I’m finding a foundation or a lip color for them,” she says. “Then one person sees me putting on makeup on somebody else and before you know it…” Her brow guru sister, meanwhile, has already claimed her spot in the boutique for a future residency. “I see Scout as an extension of what I started at Striiike,” says Streicher. “It’s kind of like her East Coast sidekick.”
